Yesterday (January 8) was the set date that Magic Mountain had said that they were "officially" going to change Terminator's name to Apocalypse. If you don't already know, this is because of Six Flags' action to drop licensing terms with many of their themed affiliates like Terminator & Thomas The Tank Engine. The ride opened up on Saturday as the new Apocalypse with the sign for the ride changed to say: Apocalypse The Ride and the brand new pre-show. In summary, the pre-show is based on an after-world apocalypse that leaves good people behind and bad people called: "The Scavengers". Other than that, not much has changed in the "alteration". The Terminators in the final room have been removed, and a couple of things has also been removed too.
