Take that back. LOTS!
The idea for Planet SIX was first conceived by Ryan in early 2010, when he noticed that there wasn't one site completely devoted to Magic Mountain! It seemed impossible that the Thrill Capital Of The World didn't have one, so with a lot of pre-site design and construction, the site was first launched in June of 2010.
However, the very first edition of Planet SIX looked completely different than what you're seeing now or even may have seen in 2011! Instead, the first layout was built in FLASH, but after realizing that the number of computers that were compatible to FLASH sites was relatively low, Ryan decided to completely renovate Planet SIX into an easier and more efficient layout and design. The renovated version launched in June of 2010 just one month after the first was debuted.

The site gained much notice amongst fans and stayed in it's layout until winter
of 2011 when Planet SIX was put under yet again another renovation; which is of
what you're seeing now. A contemporary style was put to use for the site, and
features were re-done and some even removed entirely. The Forum was also moved
into a new design entitled Forum 2.0. Planet SIX has been an influence to the
entire Internet community since its introduction in 2010, of which countless
blogs and sites about Magic Mountain have since been developed. Early 2012, Ryan made the executive decision to discontinue the website due to an inability to keep up with the site updates and regular maintenance. Although the site has remained mostly abandoned ever since, without a doubt Planet SIX has served as a major influence to existing Magic Mountain fansites today.
