Background
Deja Vu opened in August 2001, after several delays in the mechanics of the coaster. This was not the only time however. Giant Inverted Boomerangs from Vekoma have experienced technical difficulties which led to their decline in theme park purchases. Deja Vu remains the last standing Deja Vu coaster at any Six Flags parks. In the summer of 2011, rumors began to circulate involving the possible removal of Deja Vu. This involved maybe being relocated to a future location, which was speculated as Six Flags New England. In September, the news was confirmed that Deja Vu would indeed be relocated to Six Flags New England to re-open as Goliath in 2012.
Deja Vu officially closed after Sunday, October 16; it's formal last day in operation before being relocated to it's new home.
