Turns out park management was planning a much-needed attraction for Hurricane Harbor in 2012 after all! We've been able to confirm that the waterpark will be adding a dual thrill, high speed slide complex adjacent to the Flashback building. An anonymous source from park management leaked the info regarding the $11 million investment entitled, StormScraper; consisting of two thrill slides themed after storms, Hurricane Twister and Tsunami Falls.
Below, given some research on the Internet, we were able to find this photo below taken a few days ago at the park showing the Flashback Plaza blocked off. The addition will lie adjacent to the Flashback building which will stay untouched for a supposed new store and quick service eatery to be added later.
