Yep. You read the title correctly. Six Flags Theme Parks now has it's new CEO, James Reid Anderson appointed today, to be new CEO of the company, taking over interim, Al Weber's temporary position. Al Weber however, will be staying with Six Flags, but this time as the chain's COO (Chief Operating Officer.). Probably the most intriguing aspect of Anderson, is that he came to Six Flags without any "theme park experience" in his business career, which questions some if he will be good for the parks, or bad. However, Anderson does have experience in running big-time businesses, and managing to pull them out of bankruptcy, notably that of Dade Behring Holdings, a healthcare company he used to lead. Former chairman Usman Nabi said "Jim is an exceptional CEO, and he brings to Six Flags an outstanding track record of shareholder value creation". Will the new CEO prove his skills as a business man and successfully operate a chain of 19 popular amusent and water parks?
