Being that New England already has a Vekoma boomerang style coaster, Deja Vu seemed like an unlikely candidate for the park. Magic Mountain has yet to make an announcement about the move, though most fans are anticipating sometime in September- probably on Facebook.
On the other side of the country, Six Flags New England will also release official word of the new coaster for 2012 in September; speculated for Sept. 1. The rumors all began when the Massachusetts park mysteriously removed Shipwreck Falls- a mirror version of Tidal Wave. Planning markers were seen on site and numerous accounts from New England enthusiasts that Deja Vu was to be theirs were made.
No one is all that sure what the successor of Deja Vu for Magic Mountain will be; if anything in 2012, but seeing how the news of Deja Vu surprised us all to be true, anything is possible at this point. I'd almost see a flat ride coming in before a coaster next, but maybe with the recent ride rotation program making a return, we might get lucky.
