Since the wake of these coaster capitals, enthusiasts have tried to compare the two based on their perspective coaster line-ups. LA Times recently put the two parks head to head based on their coaster line-up. In the article, they put the coasters into different categories including identical, similar, comparable, and unrelated. Most of the identical winners I would've agreed with along with the comparable and similar categories. But the only category that didn't fit was the unrelated- putting coasters like Scream against Disaster Transport and Viper against Blue Streak and Wildcat against Canyon Blaster. I mean, Viper is a) a looping coaster and b) a steel coaster while Blue Streak is a) no inversions AND a wooden coaster. If I were to be making these calls, I would've probably went for Magic Mountain as the winner- although that's my personal preferences and biased opinion. In the end, it was deemed a tie between both parks. So tell us- Do you agree with the outcome of the LA Times match-up? What would be YOUR outcome? See la Times match-up >

There is no comparison between Superman and Top Thrill. Yes they kind of do the same thing, but Top Thrill is an extreme version. Superman might be as tall, but you don't make it to the top. Leave a Reply. |
