So, yesterday (Friday), I visited Magic Mountain, thinking that the park would be mostly empty, without lines. Unfortunately, it was the opposite, with lines ranging from 20 minutes to an hour, excluding the mild coasters like Ninja, & Goldrusher. It might have been due to the fact that Friday was Target Employee Night, which means a lot of people for the private party was there in the day too. We started the day with Revolution, which had a wait of about 10 minutes. After this, we jouneyed through Rapids Camp Crossing, hoping Tatsu would have a decent line wait. The line for Tatsu filled up the queue, so we headed over to Ninja, which was perfect with no wait. Oh, and by the way, nothing new at Superman by the way. Rides following Ninja included Goldrusher, Jet Stream, & Terminator Salvation. Funny story with Terminator- A mister was busted in the middle of the queue, which made it blast water out onto the queue where everyone had to walk. Most everyone, including us, had to run one by one under it, to get past it.
After Terminator, we did another round of Jet Stream, as the temperature that day was SCORCHING with temps up to 95 degrees. Then it was onto Riddler's Revenge, in which we had to wait about half an hour, the most I've had to wait for the coaster ever. Following Riddler, it was onto Tidal Wave we went, barely getting soaked. So, as compensation, we decided to get drenched on the bridge, before we rode Batman. When we were finished riding Batman, we headed over to Goliath (hour wait), and then Log Jammer. On the way to Log Jammer, I happened to notice General Manager, Tim Burkhart with other park officials standing in Sierra Twist's former place, talking to one another. Maybe this is another sign of something being built into the vacant area, which was recently dug up of concrete about a month ago.
We ended up leaving a little before 7:00, since that's the new closing time, and thats when the Target private party started. Lucky Target people (they got to stay till midnight!). Nevertheless, it was a lot of fun, as this was the last week of summer. What a way to spend your last day of summer!
