So, Deja Vu is pretty much deemed to go.. But how is it that Magic Mountain would market a coaster crown for 2011 and drop it the very same year? It all makes perfect sense if you look at it from a business standpoint. Market it once, and it's all that matters for that one season. But what's next? Some are pretty rock solid that they think that a coaster will replace Deja Vu in 2012, but I'm not so sure....
Whether you like it or not, the coaster crown is once again gone. But with Cedar Point not adding a coaster until 2013, that gives Six Flags a year to hold the tie. In my vision of the next season, I see Magic Mountain adding a thrill ride rather than a coaster- to put it bluntly.. Say I'm wrong when it doesn't happen, but when you build two brand new coasters I'd suspect a hold on the next coaster for a thrill or flat ride. A drop tower has been mentioned a lot now, but still no real evidence from Magic Mountain itself.
We'll be most likely to find out officially by Six Flags on September 1 on Facebook; the date for most of the park's announcements. Even now, Magic Mountain has made no confirming statements or comments about Deja Vu or any 2012 rumor.
I can't take the suspense! I hope it's a flat ride, since the park is really lacking in that area.

If you guys haven't seen the new episode of the GO BIG CAM, it shows the side of Superman and the GO BIG CAM GIRL said that is the only clue, wait until September 1st. My guess is Magic Mountain is thinking about adding a drop tower on the side of Superman, like what Dreamworld did awhile back.

Adding a drop tower to the back side of S:EFK will never happen It's a completely different structure then the one in DreamWorld. It would be way cheaper to build a drop tower elsewhere in the park then to try and put it on the back of superman.
I'm also thinking that if it was a coaster why aren't they doing the puzzle clues like the other parks in the chain?

Somehow, i still think Six Flags Magic Mountain has a few surprises in store for 2012/13. I just don't think we're ready to give up the crown so easilly. Perhaps not 1 but 2 coasters await. I'd say they're probably rotating another coaster this way and perhaps a newly built one, along with a freefall tower.

Why would they get rid of DejaVu... it is awesome. Why don't they just add another one? I don't think they need to get rid of anything right now.

After some additional research, I'm seriously considering a drop tower, either standalone or on Superman's preexisting structure. The rumor about a Colossus refurbishment (by the same company that renovated Texas Giant) is also a possibility.
