Part 1 >>The Station I dreamt a dream that somehow the Magic Mountain monorail came back to life as a coaster.. Actually it wasn't a dream, but an idea that would involve 'recycling' the monorail blueprint and transforming it into a launched coaster's layout. Racing through the park's innermost trees and bushes, the ride would generate thrill at a low cost of space- Something the park doesn't have a lot of these days without ride removal. Shown in the pictures below, the most efficient station to be re-used out of the monorail's three is the High Sierra Territory stop across from Log Jammer. Not only is the station large enough compared to the other two, but it also would offer handy exits, entrances, and even a queue. The run-down of our layout below... ^ The monorail exit though gated off, is already a perfect exitway for finished riders. A bit rustic, but again like I've said before, the station would need to be worked with. This area along with the landscape islands would make a perfect outdoor entry/queue area before getting into the second half of the queue. As said above, this outer area surrounding the monorail building would be the perfect outdoor section of the queue, before heading up the narrow pathway straight ahead into the queue building. This is the underside of the station. Replace the chain link fences with the normal queue rails, and this would make for an excellent switchback before the ramp up to the station. To the Very LEFT of the photo is the This is also used for the ASYLUM Fright Fest maze(hence the chainlink fences). This ramp connects the underside of the station queue area to the station. Wow-This place is just SCREAMING for a ride! Check Back For Our LAST Ideas On The Monorail Coaster (PART 3) In A Few Days! What Do You Think? Is this the perfect line?

My favorite part about that station is how lush its surroundings are. It's covered in trees! It needs some work before it could house a roller coaster, but it's definitely possible!

The Queue might need some work. Unless it was themed to SAW, then it work out fine. But of course Six Flags can't afford that. 7/9/2011 04:15:50 am
^ Evan- If you're talking about the chain link fences, then yes, they would have to be replaced with the standard queue rails.

how about the layout be like stormrunner at hersheypark but in a different and extreme layout, or if six flags wants to attract family rides, create a layout like cheetah hunt at busch gardens in Tampa. 6/22/2012 04:25:08 pm
