Guess what yesterday was??? Friday of course! But, it wasn't just that. It was the debut of the brand new Club SIX! After months of construction, Planet SIX's Magic Mountain fanclub was finally unveiled with all of those cool features that I mentioned in the last blog. This time, club members have a never-ending social hour about coasters. With Coasterbook, and MemberChat, you can definitely get in those endless chats about Six Flags. Of course, you have to be a member first- So sign up now! And ya know what else yesterday was? The busiest day for Planet SIX in guest traffic! As the site continues to grow, that visit record is always being broken. For me, Friday was the first time I've been to Fright Fest! Whoa! C'mon Ryan- Wake up and smell the coffee! I must say that it certainly is a cool event to go to- Especially Colossus BACKWARDS! When that mean machine is turned around, it really is a thriller! And the new Camp Gonnagetcha? That's something ELSE! Really- It was pitch black with a few black lights with towering guys with shovels and sliders lurking around! While I was there, I also happened to notice semi trucks with crowds of people with a lot of equipment by the overflow lot (past Scream!). Movie set? It kinda looked like it from all of the typical movie type trucks and equipment vehicles. So that was Friday. One more day till' Fright Fest 2010 closes up shop. And one more day for some of the other Six Flags' parks' 2010 seasons. Gosh, were lucky to have Magic Mountain open all year, huh? To close this blog about the weekend, Planet SIX wishes everyone a Happy Halloween (or scary one- depends on what everyone is up to). For me, I don't know. Maybe I'll go luinto the deep fog, and check out what's in there. Well, wish me luck, and good luck to all those lurking in the fog at the last nights of Fright Fest 2010.
Today is the day that I decided it's time to announce the details of the NEW Club SIX! To start, let's go to the club features that have been added. One of those is MemberChat- A chatroom where club members can talk coasters, Six Flags or whatever! It's like a social hour! Another new thing is the CoasterCounter, which is- Yep. A coaster counter! It counts every coaster you ride at Magic Mountain, and how many times! Just enter the rides in, and you'll soon have a total. And finally, Club SIX unveils Coaster Book, the club equivalent of Facebook. Here you can update a coaster's status, your status, or whatever! Along with these features, were creating a monthly newsletter for club members, highlighting news and events. But, don't just expect a newsletter... Stay updated on the site, and Six Flags with Club SIX via email. Meet new enthusiasts. Fans. And Six Flags crazies! Stay connected. Be connected. Club SIX will debut soon, incoming later this month.
You may all know that the site has been experiencing technical difficulties for the past week or so, not allowing me to work on the site. Well- It's now fixed, and site construction continues. What was causing this is still unknown though. My best guess is that it might have been the server, or the Internet. Since construction continues, the Ride Guide along with the new Club SIX upgrade is getting ready to be unveiled. Both of these are expected to be finished sometime this month, so stick around. And Fright Fest is less than a week away, beginning this Friday! Are you going? There's plenty of great Halloween fun going on this year's event. Check it out here.
