So, Deja Vu is pretty much deemed to go.. But how is it that Magic Mountain would market a coaster crown for 2011 and drop it the very same year? It all makes perfect sense if you look at it from a business standpoint. Market it once, and it's all that matters for that one season. But what's next? Some are pretty rock solid that they think that a coaster will replace Deja Vu in 2012, but I'm not so sure....
Whether you like it or not, the coaster crown is once again gone. But with Cedar Point not adding a coaster until 2013, that gives Six Flags a year to hold the tie. In my vision of the next season, I see Magic Mountain adding a thrill ride rather than a coaster- to put it bluntly.. Say I'm wrong when it doesn't happen, but when you build two brand new coasters I'd suspect a hold on the next coaster for a thrill or flat ride. A drop tower has been mentioned a lot now, but still no real evidence from Magic Mountain itself.
We'll be most likely to find out officially by Six Flags on September 1 on Facebook; the date for most of the park's announcements. Even now, Magic Mountain has made no confirming statements or comments about Deja Vu or any 2012 rumor.
